For those who know Kyle, he has incredible luck with scratch offs. Back in March, he won some money...big money. I asked what he was going to do with it, and he said save some and put the rest as a surprise for you. I can not stand surprises...unless I don't even know it, then I don't mind it. Anyways, I was bugging him for a long time to tell me what it is. He then said he will get it once he gets his bonus check. They came in the week before so that Saturday I said OK now you can go get me my surprise on Monday since you have off. He said he could do that. In the meantime I was still bugging hi about what it was. He kept mentioning it's at an electronic store and it's big. First thing that came to my mind was another TV (he has brought me a TV in the past).
I had to work that week due to another manager being on vacation. I got off work early so I/we could take Rosie to the vet for her yearly shots. When we left the vet that Monday I asked if he wanted to go to Petco really fast and he mentioned he was wanting to go home so he can get me my surprise. I asked where he was going and he said he was going to go to Grapevine Mills to get it. I suggested Southlake since it is considered a mall, and it is closer. (This is like 4-4:15pm...basically rush hour traffic). When he left I realized that there were no electronic stores out there except the Apple Store (and you have to have an appointment with them.) At that time I thought he was getting a new PC or Ipad and he secretly made an appointment with them. I was playing on the pc when I heard him come home. I asked where it was and he told me to sit down in the recliner. I did, but I could see him in the backdoor, and he had nothing. He said he lied and there wasn't anything big or electronic. He pulled out a box out of his pocket and handed it to me. I opened the box and inside was another box. (That time I knew where it was going) I opened the box and he asked me on one knee if I would marry him. It was short n sweet and I loved it! Of course I said yes in between laughing and semi crying!
